Reflex App Privacy Policy
This policy applies specifically to the Reflex iOS and Android mobile app. It does not describe the reaction-time-test.io website.

The short version
- ✓No account or sign-up required.
- ✓We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.
- ✓No analytics SDK, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party identifiers.
- ✓Your game stats (XP, best times, streaks, badges) are stored only on your device.
- ✓No camera, microphone, photos, location, or contacts access is requested.
Data we collect
None. Reflex does not collect any personal data. The app makes no network requests for the purpose of tracking, analytics, or advertising. The reaction-time tests, sequence patterns, and aim-training sessions all run entirely on your device.
Data stored on your device
To make Reflex useful between sessions, the app stores the following on your device using the operating system's standard app storage (AsyncStorage on iOS and Android):
- Your total XP, level, and unlocked badges
- Your best result and run count for each game mode
- Your daily streak counter and the last date you played
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to a cloud and we have no way to access it. Uninstalling the app deletes it. You can also clear it inside the app via Profile → Reset all progress.
Permissions the app uses
- Haptic feedback — to vibrate when you tap or react successfully. No data is collected.
- Text-to-speech — used only by the Audio reaction mode to speak a short cue word ("Now"). The OS handles this locally; no audio leaves your device.
Reflex does not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, calendar, health data, motion sensors, Bluetooth, or local network.
Third-party services
Reflex does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not integrate with social-login providers, ad networks, or marketing platforms.
The app is built with the Expo / React Native framework. When you install it through the App Store or Google Play, those platforms apply their own privacy policies to the installation and any in-app purchase process. Reflex itself currently has no in-app purchases.
Children
Reflex is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data of any kind, the app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent legislation by design.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing personal for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. The only data that exists is in your device's local app storage, which you fully control. You can clear it at any time:
- In-app: Profile → Reset all progress
- iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Reflex → Delete App
- Android: Settings → Apps → Reflex → Storage → Clear data

Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, communicate the change in the app. Our commitment to collecting no personal data is fundamental — any change to that stance would be highlighted clearly.
